Charlie Trevena’s podcasting success story
Charlie Trevena is the founder of Destination Webinars, a one-stop-shop webinar library tailored to the AU/NZ travel industry. Charlie’s mission is to provide travel agents with on-demand, bite-sized updates about destinations, airlines, tour operators, and more.
The podcasting challenge
Charlie wanted to extend her reach to travel agents who couldn’t dedicate time to watch webinars but could listen to content while driving, doing household chores, or during other daily tasks. This inspired the creation of the Travel Agent Takeaways podcast. However, as a busy business owner, Charlie felt overwhelmed by the process of launching and managing a podcast. She didn’t have the time to learn the technical aspects or handle all the details herself.
How I helped
Charlie said: “I couldn’t have launched Travel Agent Takeaways without Laura’s help. Being a busy business owner, I was overwhelmed by how and where to start and didn’t have time to learn and do everything myself. Laura walked me through the process step-by-step and pieced it all together.”

After the successful launch, I continued to provide support by managing and editing the podcast, allowing Charlie to focus on her core business.
Results and impact
Charlie’s podcast achieved impressive results, hitting the number one spot in the “Travel” category on the Apple Podcast charts in Australia within its first week. The podcast allowed Destination Webinars to expand its reach and provide valuable content to travel agents in a new and convenient format.
